Built Around Equipment We Actually Use
I’m Joshua Wieting, founder of TJ Aerosense in Huron, South Dakota. I’m a farmer and spray-drone operator first, and that has shaped pretty much everything about this business.
We don’t just sell agricultural drones. We run them, repair them, learn what fails, watch what actually produces acres, and use those lessons when somebody asks what they should buy. I would much rather tell somebody a smaller or less expensive setup fits their operation than sell them more equipment than they need.

Why TJ Aerosense Exists
A lot of equipment looks good on a spec sheet. The part that matters is what happens after you put it in a field, load it on a trailer, charge batteries all day, hit wind, break something in season, or need a part right now. TJ Aerosense was built around that real-world side of the business.
We sell DJI Agras spray drones, Talos spray drones, complete field-ready packages, DRONE TENDER trailers, parts and accessories, DJI Enterprise equipment, and Segway Navimow robotic mowers. Our DJI Agriculture service work is handled from our shop in Huron, and we work with customers across South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, and Montana.
Why We Added Robotic Mowers
Navimow is a good example of how I like to add products to the business. When I moved in May, I started shopping for a zero-turn mower. Some of the name-brand machines I was looking at were $18,000+, and after spending that money I would still be giving up my own time to mow on a regular basis.
That sent me down a rabbit hole researching robotic mowers. I ended up going with Navimow, and it has been awesome so far. Once I had used it myself and saw what it could do, bringing Navimow into TJ Aerosense made sense. I would rather sell something I would put on my own property than add a product category just because we can.
The Drone Is Only Part of the System
One of the biggest lessons from operating spray drones is that the aircraft is only one piece of production. Batteries, charging, generators, water handling, refill speed, trailer layout, field shape, crew workflow, parts availability, and downtime all matter. That is why we spend so much time helping customers think through the complete setup instead of just quoting an airframe.
We also keep sharing our own field numbers, comparisons, settings, repairs, and lessons because I think customers deserve to see more than manufacturer claims. If something worked well for us, we’ll say it. If something didn’t, we’ll say that too.
